In every conversation, don’t forget you’re a human being.
And so is the person you’re talking to. Hopefully listening to. Human beings.
Flickering our brains for a brief moment to remember what we have in common. Quite a lot. Breathing. Sensing. Surviving. Delicate skin. Fragile organs. Needing nourishment. On this earth together for a time.
Swerving through heavy traffic. Budging into the grocery store line. Waiting at the doctor’s office. Asking to change the deadline. Staying in budget. Blowing the budget. Moving the garbage cans. Eating the leftovers instead of ordering pizza.
