Mission
My mission is to help people communicate better inside of themselves so they can communicate far better with other people as well.Values
Not just beautiful words, rather what guides every action.Discovery: Staying open, curious and brave to learn what we were not expecting to learn. And notice what happens next.
Generosity: To strive to give more than we receive. To create more than we destroy. Always.
Connectedness: Every molecule on this earth is touching. How we take care of ourselves impacts how we listen to a coworker, which impacts how they speak to the grocery store cashier, which affects how they tuck in their child. All connected.

Favorite exercise: Moving rocks. Least favorite: Treadmills.

Confession: I spend too much money on mugs.
Happy place: Anyone’s kitchen table with whatever they’re offering to sip on.
I teach people to #1 understand themselves better, then #2 understand other people better, too. Teaching people how to communicate — in both professional and personal relationships — more naturally. Peacefully. Productively. Beautifully.
Evolving into this work wasn’t easy. But through the struggles and sometimes painful experiences, I came to see the creativity in confusion. Clarity in conflict. And that wonderful moment when you discover you actually want the same thing as someone else. You just didn’t know how to say it.
Everything I teach is rooted in a research-based understanding of our biology and behavior. Our emotions, our minds, our culture and whatever situation we find ourselves in.
I call it “whole human communication” because machines will never replace the sound of relieving laugh when a decision is reached or sparkle of eye contact that shares a great idea or the feeling of a tearful hug after a long, tense discussion.
So, learn to communicate being you. Understanding you. Understanding other people. And enjoying what that feels like.
“With patience and great energy, Jessica is incredibly helpful before those hard conversations.”
— Julie O.
I’ve never gotten into social media…
(I’d much rather connect with human beings with voices, faces or sitting across a table.)
But you can find my professional background on good, ole LinkedIn.
